After going through my career-ending injury at 19 years old, I faced an identity crisis with little support. Many pessimistic thoughts and feelings arose from this development, yet an unprecedented amount of life-changing good also occurred. I saw the need for more personal and professional development to be addressed by the administration, the coaching staff, and the players. Student-athletes need to be aware of the resources available to help progress their rights as human beings. As a D1 athlete, I have undergone the very recruiting that the modern-day aspirational athlete has gone through, aside from the NIL and revenue-sharing age. With experience at multiple D1 institutions as an academic counselor, advisor, and learning specialist, I can help provide a unique insight into the academic ins and outs of college. My goal in assisting student-athletes in their recruiting process is to redefine college athletics and inspire development beyond the athletic realm.
